Schedule for Hampshire morning:
9:30- 10 am:  registration, name tags, coffee, fruit, pastries in the Seydel Reading Room, 2nd floor Harold Johnson Library, Hampshire College
10-10:30  am:   Jennifer Gunter King, Director of the Library will give a quick background on the Reading Room
Time to browse the Special Collections books and regular books in the Seydel Collection
10:30- 11:30:  Business meeting in the Hampshire College Art Gallery (ground floor of library building)

Schedule for Smith afternoon:

Mika Palamara, Director of the Smith College Imaging Center, will lead a tour of the Imaging Center’s new classroom and makers facility.

Sherry Poirrier, Image Collections Curator, and Jon Cartledge, Digital Imaging Specialist, will discuss the deaccessioning of the Imaging Center photo collection.
Barbara Polowy, Hillyer Art Librarian, will display and discuss artists’ books from the Smith College Fine Art Library.
Elisa Lanzi, Library Director of Digital Strategies, and Nanci Young,College Archivist, will discuss “The History of Women’s Education Open Access Portal Project,” a collaborative NEH project, led by Bryn Mawr, to create a prototype for a digital portal containing letters, diaries, and scrapbooks of the first generations of its students.


At 4pm, the Smith College Museum will be free and open to the public.
